I recently went to Camp Hi to canoe with two of my friends and it was subpar to say the least.. we went on a sunday around 10 am. It wasn't busy when we got there but when we got off the river around noon the line to canoe was pretty long. They made it very confusing when getting on and off the river though.. when we first got on we were told that we needed a cell phone in order to call Camp Hi when we had reached the end so they could come pick us up...but what if i (and my friends) don't want to bring our phones? i actually flipped in the canoe being my first time and if i had been forced to bring my phone to catch a ride i would've been pretty pissed. Thankfully another group of people also canoeing offered to just call the ride for all of us when we were done so we wouldn't be stuck. The water is also VERY still right now and you're basically rowing the whole time to even get somewhere, and the water is extremely shallow. After we got off the river our ride came about 10 min later, in a pick up truck... (it only fit 3 and there were 6 of us). so she had to drive back to camp and get different transportation and that took another 20 minutes... The river itself was nice but honestly not worth $28 per person if you're only doing two miles. It wasn't anything i couldn't have done in the river by my house unfortunately.
