The Ritz-Carlton Hotels are usually always nice, but the Ritz-Carlton in Toronto is better than most Ritz. The hotel is truly a five-star hotel, and the location could not be better. Every single Ritz employee my wife and I interacted with could not have been nicer. I am impressed.
Here is a quick snapshot:
Rooms: Nice, modern and high end with ceiling to floor windows.
Staff: Could not be nicer
Spa: Great spa areas separated by gender. There is a common area, which is great is you want to hang out with your spouse, and they also have an indoor pool.
Breakfast: Great breakfast buffet. It has everything one could possible want.
TOCA: Great Italian restaurant. I grew up in Europe, and I am sick and tired of Pasta and Pizza being classified as great Italian food. It has its place, but if you want to get an idea what great Italian food could look like TOCA is your place.
Afternoon Tea: My wife likes afternoon teas. Among the various places listed for afternoon tea in Toronto, the Ritz rarely gets mentioned which is a shame. In my opinion, the Ritz has the best afternoon tea in Toronto. Just book early, as it fills up quickly.
