  • My Monday morning this week started out pretty swell. Up early, healthy breakfast, spring in my step -- the works. Unfortunately for me, I happen to live in Wisconsin, where no matter the mood you begin the day with, at some point your day will be ruined by the wintry weather. Cue my morning commute: my crappy old Ford Taurus apparently has a faulty fuel gauge, as my car suddenly slowed to a stop on Stoughton Road (a fairly busy highway, especially at 8:00am on a Monday) without showing any sign of an "Empty" signal. I called a few tow services first -- one said they would "try" to get to me within four hours; another answered the phone, set it down and talked to a coworker for several minutes before I finally hung up. I finally got in touch with Liberty, and from the professional-voiced man that answered the phone, to the incredibly friendly tow-driver that picked me up, they were top-notch. The tow truck arrived well within the 1-hour window guaranteed to me by the dispatcher (48 minutes, to be precise), and was incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the whole experience. Luckily for me, all my car needed was gas, but I still had to pay for the "tow minimum" - $65 + tax. I was happy to do so, however, because of my experience leading up to that moment. I hope I never call them again, but I definitely will if I need to!
