The owner commented on my original review to clarify that they do not sell potato & cheddar pierogies hot, only frozen. I guess I just assumed that the "potato and cheese" pierogies I ate contained cheddar since that's the most common pierogie variety, but I was mistaken! The ready-to-eat pierogie they sell is potato and farmer's cheese (apparently like a cottage cheese)....makes so much more sense now why the filling had that mealy/crumbly texture.
While that doesn't change the fact that I didn't care for their signature pierogie, now that I know that I haven't actually tried their potato & cheddar variety, I will be back to pick up a pack of those frozen and give them a whirl. I'll update this review again with the verdict once I have a chance to sample!
