| - One of the worst hotels (not incl. motels) I've ever stayed in. Definitely the worst in Vegas, and I've stayed at every level of Vegas casino-hotel from Wynn-Excalibur and many others. Yes cheap & a buddy had a fantastic price hook up for a reservation he'd made a year prior, but just an absolutely horrendously managed hotel. And it didn't seem busy at all. Could be a brand new business grad (or pre-major student) running that place for the service we got.
Pretty much it was always "What's next?!" Most staff just really didn't care and also didn't have adequate resources.
-Signs pointing to other parts of room floors were ON PAPER WRITTEN BY HAND lol
-Toilet hadn't been flushed when we got to room. I had to kinda push to get any kind of compensation for that disgustingness & the front desk didn't go out of their way to be sincerely apologetic.
-Toilet flushed *really* slowly
-Sink barely drained at all. Would overflow if you let it run.
-One day, maids only cleaned bathroom and didn't even make the beds or empty trash.
-Everything in bathroom was in short supply.
-Asked for more towels-never delivered
-Room windows seem like they were picked out of an on-sale catalogue. They were sliding glass doors. Ours opened easily..onto what looked kinda like a roof area but did have a balcony-type wall--not an edge-- that looked down into the pool. It was weird, but hey, the door opened and there was no sign anywhere that said we couldn't be there. Sure enough though, my buddy gets yelled at by security for being "on the roof," so he goes back inside, and immediately we get an upset call from the front desk about it. At this point we were both a little frustrated & short tempered w/the service and my buddy hung up on them. Moments later, two security guards knock on our door about it-one of them's menacing, and my buddy tells them he doesn't want them coming into the room to fix it (turns out Hooters' solution for using sliding glass doors instead of windows was to put one little screw in that locked them-somebody else must've taken our screw out)-get us a new room at this point. The jerk security guard tells us it's "fix it or you're evicted!" So I call the front desk and get us a room change for all the difficulty already. In the mean time, my buddy closes the door on them while I make the call, and the jerk one says "You're lucky these doors don't slam or you'd be evicted!" Also patronized & accused me of lying/being an idiot about not knowing we weren't supposed to be out there. The door opened freely man and we were out there for 2 minutes! That goes on till we get a new room, and they bring even more security guards.
-Got a package delivered to hotel-even emailed Hooters ahead of time about it-and it took them a whole day/night to get it from where it was delivered to the bell desk where I could pick it up. What!? Ridiculous and unacceptable. Staff made it seem standard.
-Bell desk didn't always answer, would go to a standard cell-phone type voicemail that hadn't been personalized/recorded at all. Voicemail went unreturned.
-Want clothes laundered? Deliver em downstairs yourself! No slip or pick-up in room, even though the room guide says to the contrary.
-TV only worked sometimes.
-No fridge
-Doors didn't close fully on their own-dangerous.
-No button for front desk on phone (had to request extension from operator), staff had to ask for my room # every time, & different desks weren't on the same page about who was going to have my package.
-Food options very limited. To Hooters pretty much. Got the same menu item twice-once was really good, next time not very. Fried pickles were terrible & I love fried pickles. Service in restaurant bar area was very (light) hit or (hard) miss.
-Bar area music the first afternoon was so depressing that we changed our order to to-go.
-Late check-out only offered with a call AFTER 7 AM, and by the time I made the call in the AM, they said no.
Positives:
-Blackjack tables & low minimums. Some dealers still were so-so or straight moody, but the cute ones tended to be a lot of fun personality wise AND yes, as eye candy. Find brunette, (white) Jennifer! She made me money literally every time I sat down with her. REALLY fun dealer & gave me the best blackjack run I've ever had. Like I said, Jennifer: Tiffany's or Jared's? You're the only one for me!
--Even there though, some of **the other** dealers and floor staff were having issues. More dealing flubs than I'd seen & some weird table security (I think) drama going on.
-Restaurant cover band ROCKED IT
-Friendly, helpful bell desk guy
