The Waterworks is by far my favorite mainstream movie theatre in the Pittsburgh area. It's small and not as flashy as some of the larger, newer ones in other parts of the city, but it's typically clean and the ticket prices are very reasonable. Mondays they do a $5 movie and small popcorn deal that simply can't be beat...my boyfriend and I saw most of the best picture nominees last year that way. I also love the location. Nearby there is an Uncle Sam's, Burgatory, a Market District with one of the best beer selections around, and various other shops and restaurants. It's definitely a fun place to come have dinner or get shopping done immediately before or after your movie and much less hectic than the Waterfront in Homestead. I'm sure I'll keep coming back here for my movie fix, and I hope it doesn't change too much in the future.
