DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS RETAILER!
I spent a hundred bucks on a 5033G 3D fully functional remote control helicopter at the Arrowhead mall on 8/26/13. Cost is not the reason I'm pissed off. Lack of customer support/service is why I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A PRODUCT from this retail outlet again. Just so you know, they are all owned by the same person. Here's the story. As bought helicopter had a bad recharger. Factory manual said when charging red light is on. Once charged green light comes on. If both lights are off unit is charged. Well both lights were off, on charger, when it was plugged in straight out of the box. Flew helicopter for 2 minutes then it fell out of the sky. Plugged the recharger back in, and now the green and red lights are lit. Let it charge, green light out, red light stayed on. Tried to fly, it fell out of the sky. Called store, and they said it's a bad charger. Took charger back. They gave me a new charger. They said the charger they gave me was a good one. Recharged helicopter. Tried to fly, it fell out of the sky. While it was recharging red light on charger was on. Took everything back to store. Amazingly, helicopter flew in store. I asked "why is red light on during charging"? They told me that the manual is wrong. It's supposed to be green while charging and red when fully charged. I took it home and gave it one more try. Recharged it (again) took it out for a fly. It didn't even get off the ground. Took it back to store. It flew in the store. I said "I want to exchange it for another one". "There has to be something wrong with this one". The store manager, "Giovanni" said "I can't exchange nor give you a refund". "It says on the receipt, once you open box no refunds". Oh, and by the way, Giovanni is the absolute WORST customer service/retail employee I've ever dealt with! Giovanni said "give me your phone # my boss will call you". I said give me your boss's #. He refused to give me a #. I gave him my # and asked "when will your boss call me"? He said today, it was 3pm, 8/29/13. I'm still waiting for that call. On 8/30/13 I called the Arrowhead store at 10 am. Giovanni answered the phone. I told him who I was and insisted he give me his boss's phone #. HE HUNG UP THE PHONE ON ME. I went to their web site. I called another store, in Chandler. I told them what I was going thru with the Arrowhead store. They said we can't give our boss's # but I was assured they would give my # to their boss. I still haven't been contacted by the boss. I found a customer support # on their web site. I talked to a guy named Elvis or Alvin, he had a very heavy accent so I don't know which name it is. I told him everything and he said that he knew Giovanni and that he would call and talk to him. He told me he would straighten everything out and that either he or Giovanni or the owner would call me back. He behaved as if he honestly thought the way I was treated was "funny", but nothing to be upset about. It was just a big joke to him. That was five days ago. Still no call back. Even if they sold a decent product, just based on the service/treatment I received. I will never step foot in any of their stores, EVER AGAIN!
