  • If you are a potential tenant looking for a clean, maintained apartment near ASU on the light rail, KEEP LOOKING. I have lived at the Lofts at Rio Salado for 6 years and have had the misfortune of watching this property go downhill since Alliance Residential has taken over. Don't be fooled by the manicured lawn in front of the leasing office, I can assure you the rest of the property does not live up to that standard. First, the elevators are disgusting with animal urine, throw up or trash often present. They take forever (even with the recent "upgrade/ facelift") and people smoke in them. Trash Valet, a separate company, often forgets E building, which leads to a build-up of smelly trash in the hallways after sitting in 100+ degree weather. For the people that actually do end up disposing of their own trash, the trash chute rooms are equally smelly, sticky and disgusting. Doors/gates are often broken, there are holes in the stairwell walls and the floors are often filthy. There is even graffiti on some of the walls in my building. Similarly, the garage floor looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. I have called and spoken to management on 3 separate occasions over a month's span regarding a broken door and nothing has been fixed. The young, inexperienced property managers who I have spoken to always rehearse the same apology, promise to alert maintenance right away and offer a fake thank you for bring these "opportunities" to their attention. Reading the reviews below me -and the subsequent responses from management- only further confirms that Alliance Residential cares about nothing more than making money. What little money they do spend on the tenants goes towards pool parties with DJs and free beer. Instead of hearing another half-hearted response or throwing another lame, last minute pool party, ALLIANCE RESIDENTIAL: SHOW US THAT YOU TRULY CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS AND PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE UTTER FILTH AND RUNDOWN STATE OF YOUR COMPLEX.
