The Front desk staff are friendly. The facility is clean. The medical competency is lacking. I went in with a headache, sore throat, and fatigue. The sore throat and ear pain was consistent with strep which I've had before. I was told by the PA on duty I had a cold. I advised I had no cold symptoms. She replied stating that the strep test was negative. I explained that the assistant who completed the swab only hit the roof of my mouth and not the back of my throat. I also asked if she could not see the white puss pockets on my throat. She said no which I found odd in that I could see them with a flashlight and mirror...how could she not see them with her medical equipment?? I was told to take Tylenol. I went to my care physician the next day to test positive for strep. I was completely misdiagnosed here and the PA seemed not interested at all in engaging me as the patient as having a voice in my care. So essentially, I endured another 24 hours of unnecessary pain and inflammation.
