The cake is great; I had samples of it at the wedding expo and at a friend's wedding. However, their business practices seem shady to me.
You can only schedule time to meet with a baker or cake decorator on Monday nights and on Tuesdays because that is when they do tastings. When I explained I really didn't need to taste the cake and that I just wanted a meeting, they said they don't do that.
The "tasting" is $50. Upfront. Now, I understand that some bakers charge for the tasting as a deposit on the cake (otherwise people would just bakery-hop for free cake, I assume), but $50 before walking in the door? When I don't even need to taste the cake? No thanks. I'm not giving my credit card number out to some guy over the phone. They're basically charging you $50 for the privilege of hiring them to bake your wedding cake.
Seriously, not good customer service. I'll go elsewhere-there are plenty of talented bakers in this town.
