  • Classic French style breakfast in the heart of Old Montreal. Sounds like a winning combo to me. This place has a small marketplace selling things to go on top of the sit down restaurant. The menu is fairly large and has a good mix of egg dishes coupled with pastries for one to choose from. Le Canton was great as it came with scrambled eggs, thick cut ham, sausage, potatoes and baked beans all cooked in duck fat. Yum. The scrambled eggs with dill and salmon were also excellent. However, the best bite came from the croissant which everyone agreed was top notch. Service is good here and very friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this place as anyone's primary choice for breakfast in the area.
