My third time coming here was the worst experience I have had at a salon in a long time. All of my previous visits were great which is why I got comfortable and continued to frequent the salon. I received a full set of almond shaped nails and a reg pedi. Typically I only get a gel mani/pedi and keep it simple. That day I asked for a designs as my bday was the following day and I wanted something a little "extra" After getting my toes painted dark blue the guy chose the "matching" color which came out completely BLACK on my nails and didn't match my toes in ANY way. I didn't have time to have them RE-do it as I was on a lunch break so I went ahead with the designs and scheduled to come back the next day to have them fixed.
The worst part is not the color or the misshapen acrylics, but the fact that he tore a chunk of my skin while cutting my cuticle. It was painful and deep and still hurts 3 days later. I'm total it was $90 for the set you will see in black.
When I went back the next day I had the nails shaped and chose a pretty blue color. I switched up the designs and she charged me another $15!!! You would think for the inconvenience they wouldn't charge me anything extra but I guess putting tape on my nails was a pretty hard job. Many of the lines are noticeably crooked smh. I will never return to this salon again!! Painful bleeding, total inconvenience, extra charges...no thanks!
UPDATE 12/1/17:
I received a message from the owner apologizing for my inconvenience and offered to do my nails again free of charge, as well as credit the additional $15 I was charged to fix them. I appreciated them taking the time to respond and make any kind of offer as they could've simply ignored my honest review. I set an appt and went back yesterday after work.
I sat with Mindy who was very kind and she did an awesome job! I received a fill, shapeup, and 4 nails with the "sweater" design. I love them! Shape is perfect, designs look nice and she took the time to correct any mistakes she made along the way instead of rushing through it and expecting the client to be happy with whatever the outcome is. At checkout I was told to pay $45, but after reminding them (and showing the yelp message) that the offer to fix the situation was to be free of charge they reluctantly complied and I let them know I did not want the $15 credit as Mindy had thankfully rectified the issue with my new set. I even set an appointment w/ Mindy to go back on the 14th. They have good prices, offer refreshments, and the bar top setup for nail services is a nice touch. I wouldn't count this shop out just yet!
