| - EDIT: My original review was posted almost a year ago. We have been using Pipe Doctor for 2 years now and have been loyal customers. Unfortunately, I have had to take my review for them from 5 stars to 2 stars. It seems Pipe Doctor no longer cares to retain their customers. The problem started when I suspected our water softener wasn't working properly. I scheduled an appointment to have it looked at and they NO SHOWED us! After calling the office, the new girl answering the phone (what happened to Randi??) told me that their scheduling system was "down" and rescheduled for the next day. Ok, no big deal..things happen. The next day, a guy (also new) came out to look at the softener. He wasn't familiar with it at all, even though his company is the one that installed it, and had to call the manufacturer to find out what was wrong with it. Turns out the machine hadn't been set up correctly and wasn't working since the first week it was installed! (we paid $1200 for the system!). I asked him if he would mind fixing a running toilet while he was here and he said sure....but left after reprogramming the softener and never fixed the toilet. Just my luck...2 days later said toilet overlfowed and flooded our bathroom! I called the after-hours line and was told that we lived too far for them to come out that night and that I should call the office to schedule a visit. I was ok with that except that Chris also said "how did you get our info?" with an attitude that said "why are we bothering with you?" I guess he didn't realize that they've been helping us for 2 years and never had an issue driving to our house?? The toilet issue was on a Thursday. I called Friday to schedule a repair...and Saturday...and Monday...and Tuesday....and never received a call back to schedule. Seriously? I've been nothing but courteous through the whole ordeal but if they can't bother calling back a REGULAR customer, why should I bother to continue as such? I had family coming Wednesday and couldn't waste any more time with them. I called 602-PLUMBER (recommended by a neighbor) and they were there in 2 hours. Was that so hard? It's really a shame, as we are planning a major bathroom remodel and had hoped to use them for that project. Very disappointed.
We needed a leaking hose bib replaced last spring so we called Pipe Doctor after reading good reviews online. We've had a lot of bad luck with contractors in Phoenix, but after using Pipe Doctor could NOT be happier with the service, quality of work, or prices!!! We've had 2 separate plumbers come out and both of them were extremely knowledgeable. They've not only done the work right, but they've pointed out things to us that past plumbers did incorrectly and we were able to remedy some of those issues. We're having them install a water softening system next because their quote was very reasonable and they use quality parts from a local manufacturer (none of the stuff that the scam artists sell door-to-door). These guys are true pros and really remind me of why I like to give my money to local family-owned businesses. They take pride in their work, don't overcharge, and are super nice every time we call. Thanks guys!!
