| - First of all, for those of you who want the quick version:
Dr. Gearin and her staff are the best. She has clear knowledge and expertise; is thorough, patient and really kind. Cammy and Ashley, the staff members I encountered most are also very knowledgeable, efficient, attentive, welcoming and take care of business. I can't say enough good stuff about them except to tell you to just go there.
For those of you who want the details:
I found Dr. Amy Gearin and her staff through a Groupon. For any of you that use Groupon you know your treatment and reception can be hit or miss since you are getting an amazing discount with the hope that you will be a regular customer. And this wasn't for a quick teeth cleaning. It was offering 2 molar implants, taking up to 4 - 6 months and an equal amount of visits to complete, for basically less than half to a quarter the normal cost. So I went in hoping for the best but prepared for a less than great reception and that subtle air that whispers "Group Coupon user" throughout the visit. I really thought it was brave to step through the door.
Well, I couldn't have had a better experience.
Every visit was as quick and painless as possible with whatever explanations I needed easily forthcoming and understandable. Dr. Gearin's staff are equally calm, helpful, compassionate and there's a real camaraderie feel to the office ambiance. Where there were once gaps in my teeth that are not only unattractive, can also cause other bone, tooth and gum issues, I now have two perfect molar implants.
Btw: I also walked away with a night guard that they automatically supply to implant patients.
I waited to do reviews because I wanted to see if there were any problems or complications that may pop up and how they would be handled. The only thing that came up was a very sensitive upper molar right above one of the implants. Somehow a previous cavity got awakened in the process of perfecting the bite between molar and implant and is very sensitive to pressure now. So she hooked me up with some prescription tooth paste to try for sensitive teeth and the sensitivity is decreasing slowly but surely. Amy's (I feel I can call her Amy now? But also feel she deserves the respect of her title) work is faultless and precise and so I've not had to go back. Everything went so smoothly and without complications.
I did make sure I got a teeth cleaning on my last visit because I really wanted to purchase something else from them and it was perfect. I moved from Las Vegas to LA half way through my 4-5 months of treatment and they are the only thing I miss about Vegas. What an incredible office, dentist, staff, atmosphere and level of expertise.
