  • Indeed the !@$!# light rail takes down another neighborhood business! I have lived in the area for years and SteakenBurger was one of the few alternatives to chain food. The owners worked so hard for 4 or 5 years to make this a success when every other food business in that building had failed. It seemed though the Steakenburger had built up a sufficient regular customer base, only to have it destroyed by a billion dollar boondoggle that nobody wanted to begin with. I can attest as a resident along the light rail route that it has made life in the area miserable for 3 years and is killing businesses like flies. Now they want sucker the public out of millions more in added taxes to expand it. Vote NO, and hell NO!
