  • Chocolate sampling? Yes please! Hexx Kitchen + Bar has taken over the previous business Sugar Factory which I believe moved to the Towne Center location in Las Vegas. They offer a variety of sweet confections as well as savory dishes. However, all that I sampled was some of their vanilla gelato which satisfied my sweet tooth for the moment. We sat along the patio bar which offered a great view of the strip, people watching and the Bellagio fountains. After finishing my scoop of gelato, we wandered inside to browse their novelty items and came across their Chocolate Bar which was the highlight of my visit here. The offerings were pure chopped chocolate from Peru, Tanzania, Venezuela, Ecuador and Madagascar that had hints of fruit, caramel, almond and marzipan. It was interesting how the Madagascar's fruity acidity didn't hit the tongue until after it melted. My favorite was chocolate from Ecuador which had notes of sweet marzipan, almond and floral flavors. For those that are chocolate fans, be sure to stop by Hexx for a sample of chocolate from around the world. 4 stars!
