| - Lets be honest, the squeaky wheel always gets the oil, and usually they're the negative nancies that leave bad reviews. I'm a believer that you need to give credit where one is do, and the Docks is no exception. I have lived in many places, and just moved from california to Pittsburgh. We wanted to find a place that had a great high school for our son that is just about to begin. We were graciously met with Leslie (with no appointment), one of the property managers and Tony. Both were very, very friendly, professional and really worked with us to find our next place to live at the docks. First of all.....the View is stunning! You get the waterfront view of the Allegheny River which is filled with beautiful boats and Yachts. There is a Yacht club across the street with a pool and restaurant. The pool is something I always took for granted at past places I've lived at, but here, It is so inviting, The people and neighbors are so very friendly, I literally feel like I'm on vacation every day. It is so peaceful, pet friendly, and beautiful. There are different styles and sizes of apartments available to rent, from one bedroom to 2 and three. I live in a 3 bed, 3 bath, and let me tell you, it is Breathtaking. Every time I walk in to my home, I feel spoiled! With AC, a beautiful balcony with a Hammock overlooking the dog park from the third floor. The high vaulted ceilings with windows surrounding (found on some of the 3rd floor corner apartments only) makes for natural light to come in. The maintenance crew on site are very diligent! They come on time and fix anything you may need. I had them come and replace a rusted screw in the toilet pump that was causing some rusty water to escape (very little) and they came and fixed it the very next day. They are very friendly and knowledgable. I have to add that I just moved in in late June, but I have zero complaints.....ok, only one. The Garbage is far away and there is only one. Which means you ned to go outside and walk the beautiful property, perhaps meet some friendly neighbor along the way all while soaking up the warm sun (during the Spring and Summer). There is also a train that pass by, but let me say, after 3 days, you get completely used to it and you don't even realize it anymore. I can't say anything more about this place, except that if you're interested in this place, GO FOR IT! Did I mention theres a gym on site?! Don't pay any attention to the negative comments on here! I read the negative comments and felt the same way you do. I actually almost turned this place down because of them. I said, How can such a beautiful place, friendly staff get such bad reviews?? I decided to get in the car with my wife and we drove around the premises talking to random tenants living here. Not ONE person had anything negative to say. (except the garbage and train, which they got used to). If you're wanting to spend an arm and a leg in Rent, I suggest you to move to California (ITS OUTRAGEOUS!!!) You could never find a place like this in California with riverfront views and friendly people for less than what you'll pay here. A place like this in California WILL cost you about 5 grand a month!!!! Its all about perspective! So please, drive around, ask questions, and do not bother with the negative comments. I love this place! I highly recommend it to anyone!! Hope this helps.
