I haven't purchased anything from this bakery in over a year despite passing by pretty regularly.
Last year, I asked my husband to purchase a small birthday cake from Château as they were promoting their Cakes for $9.99. Dutiful husband purchases the cake and places it in the fridge immediately after purchasing. Being curious, I peek in the fridge after I come home.... And the cake looks like a kindergarten child decorated it. The fruit were mismatched and placed in random spots, the fruit didn't look like it's been fresh for a number of days. I angrily went back to the bakery with cake and demanded they give us a replacement one. They blamed my husband for ruining the cake but you can see from the indentation on the cream that the misplaced fruit has been their for a while. My husband picked out a perfectly good looking cake, they brought it to the back to '' package it'' and the cake we received was nothing like the one he picked out. In fact, when we went back the second time, they had the original cake my husband had chosen. The ladies said that cake was reserved. We ended up using this cake for my mom's birthday and it was mediocre - cake with lots of cream and unfresh fruit that we took off.
So if you do get tempted by the low cake prices, make sure you look inside before you leave with the cake. You're better off paying for a little bit more at T&T.
