If you call around to pediatric gastroenterologists in town, you will find that there is always a wait of weeks to months to see a specialist. If you call this place they will be able to see you the same week- there's a reason for that. This doctor was terrible. He didn't follow basic protocols for working with small children that we've seen when visiting other pediatric specialists. He has only one staff member- the girl answering phones also checks people in, handles insurance, takes patients weight and interviews them before the doctor comes in. She was understandably visibly stressed. The doctor did not review our child's records and the information he gave us was contrary to what other specialists and primary medical research we've been given has stated about our daughter's condition. The front of his office is littered with signs about payment. $100 for an FMLA form, $1 per page to get your own medical records from him, an insistence that you and your child must come in person and pay an office visit fee just to receive blood test results (be aware that the lab will send the results to you for free- you & your insurance have already paid for the testing!). We would never go back to this place and after one visit it was apparent why his schedule is so wide open.
