| - I love this hotel! Well, at least I used to. My husband and I would frequent this hotel at least 3 times a month. We love the Staff, especially Joy! The rooms are clean, the beds are amazing....I love the grill downstairs! Housekeeping is quick, and always leave extra towels if I need.
We have never had an issue at all, until one day. I had gotten back to the hotel at around 4 in the morning. We were set to check out that morning but our flight was delayed. I made my way to the front desk to discuss extending with the man who was working. He said that was no problem. I did not have my credit card with me so I asked if I could pay for the extended night with cash. He said no problem, and I paid. That afternoon, I was at the front desk and the manager had said I needed to pay for my room. I was confused, I had just paid cash! While talking to the manager, Natalie, we found out that the man had paid for the previous night in cash, and refunded the charge on my card. I was telling Natalie that he should have let me know about it, when one of the front desk Agents, Penny, interrupted her Manager. She had been on the phone with a customer, giving them directions, and had put them on hold to cut me off. She put her finger up, in my face, and raised her voice at me. She yells "shhhh little girl!" And begins screaming at me to pay for my room, and how I know I need to pay for it. I was in complete shock. I told her that she cannot talk to me that way, and she threatened to call the police and force me to leave. The manager was standing there with her face in shock, she sadly didn't know how to react. I turned to Natalie, asked for the GMs card and told her I'd be checking out.
I am extremely disappointed that Penny is still working there, in close contact with guests after how she treated me. The fact that she yelled and screamed at me, blew my mind. I have not been back to this hotel since the issue happened, even though I've been to Phoenix more than a dozen times since. I don't think I will return to this hotel, the price is worth it for the rooms, but not for me to be disrespected by one of the staff. I'm so disappointed that they could hire someone as AMAZING as Joy, and then hire someone as awful as Penny.
