| - We're always on the lookout for dining places we haven't tried before, and after our planned destination for dinner failed (too crowded), we decided to try the next door Soyo Korean Barstaurant. The place is very clean and inviting to new patrons, there were small and intimate 'nooks' that we would have preferred to have been seated, but nevertheless, the entire open dining area itself wasn't bad either. Having no idea what their menu was like, we asked our friendly server what she recommends instead of guessing ourselves. We are not new to Korean Food dining, but Soyo offers a different take on traditional Korean BBQ, making things whimsical/modern right down to the way food/drinks was presented (rustic tin canisters in lieu of drinking glasses/tea cup for example). For dinner, our party of three ordered the recommended Chicken Wings In Garlic Sauce, Hot & Spicy Vegetables & Shredded Beef Soup and Bibimbap. The chicken wings, for me, was what stood out the most, the chicken was cooked perfectly: tender and juicy in the inside, crunchy on the outside enhanced by the savory garlic-honey glaze. And oh yeah, grab a lot of napkins for this round folks, because things are going to get real messy (in a good way)! The hot and tender beef soup and colorful bibimbap are more traditional in taste and presentation, and that's also a good thing. We look forward to coming back and sample more dishes from Soyo's menu, we're glad we discovered another good eats place.
