| - So I am not a student, and had to be on campus the other day. I called the parking office ahead of time, to inquire about guest parking. Aspen was incredibly helpful and I thought we had found a solution for my parking needs. She suggested I park in the metered lot just to the right of the Student Union. I believe you could park there up to 8-12 hours, while the lot right in front was just for 2 hrs. I wouldn't be able to run down to the lot every two hours so it seemed like the best solution. However, once I actually got to the campus, the majority of spaces in that lot, had been reserved, not allowing us all to park in that lot. The student on duty was nice, but couldn't really do anything about it. What was the point of being pro-active, and wasting my time calling ahead to do the right thing? Incredibly frustrated, I called back to the parking office afterwards, and spoke with Allison, a manager. She apologized for my inconvenience, but said there was nothing she could do as well. I should just park in another lot. Not knowing the campus too well, that was not an option. Lesson learned, do not have non student business again at UNLV.
