It could be easy for some elitist Yelper to hate on McDonald's. it happens. It is a corporate behemoth, the food can be unhealthy, etc.
Personally, I have no real beef with McDonald's. It is there when you crave it or need a quick meal. It is often the only convenient, decently priced option.
I have been here several times and have had some observances. The challenges here are these:
1. The restaurant layout makes everything from waiting in line, to dining in, to finding the garbage can uncomfortable and annoying.
2. Wait times can be too long. I waited 15 minutes for a chicken sandwich the other day.
3. The restaurant is often a mess. Finding a clean table (let's not mention the floor) is tough. The drink/ketchup station is also frequently in disarray.
4. The staff must constantly manage the neighbourhood homeless and those who want to hang out for long stretches or get something for nothing. On a positive note, these types of challenges (which few people have to deal with ever, much less at 18-20 years old) are probably why McDonald's does produce some staff who go on to brilliant careers in management.
Two and a half stars.
