I've been coming to this theater regularly for many years. It's my favorite theater in Cleveland. It's nearly perfect, but not quite.
Let's start with the movies... they show independent films that nobody else in town shows. They run independent-turned-mainstream films weeks or months before the other theaters are on the bandwagon. They have a popular cult film series and show the Rocky Horror Picture show every month.
The clientele is typically an older crowd. If you hate the fact that suburban multiplexes have become magnets for obnoxious teens with nothing better to do and no place better to go, then this is your place.
Cedar Lee has six theaters. Two are awesome, two are pretty nice, and two are tiny theaters with tiny screens that you pray on the way in that your movie isn't playing on.
Monday is the best day of the week as far as deals go, for 5 bucks you can check out any movie at any time of day. Just be aware that holidays are excluded, and Cleveland Cinemas considers even obscure holidays, like President's Day and Columbus Day, as enough to cancel Bargain Monday.
