  • Unfortunately, these movers were a no-show! After having a polite conversation with Kory, the moving team was supposed to arrive by 8 AM. It had been discussed previously with Kory that everything had to be moved out before 2 PM due to other scheduling conflicts -- no problem, he said. 9:10 AM rolls around and movers are still not here, but I do get a phone call from Kory saying they are stuck in traffic on I-215. "We are 15 minutes away." Ok, so they will show no later than 9:30, right? Wrong. 10:00 passes by -- still no one. They arrive at 10:20 AM, but with my previously scheduled appointments (having been deconfclited with Kory), I have to turn the movers away. Sorry, but given the complete lack of transparency from Kory, he completely dropped the ball on this. I called him several times (4 times) that morning to get an update, but he never returned my calls (or texts) after the first call. The entire experience was very suspicious, though. Kory said he was 15 minutes away, but rather than him showing up, it was a completely different person! So, who was, effectively, lying to their customer to cover a delay? A completely different person arrived at the house, but Kory was communicating to me as if he were the person driving. Also, there is minimal traffic in NW Vegas after 8 AM (especially after 9 AM!), so that excuse is pretty low. After I cancelled, I told the driver to coordinate with Kory to reschedule and for him to make this right. Kory never called. Kory never texted. Kory never fixed (nor wanted to, it seems) the problem that he created. He knows that I am the first move of the day -- it is not difficult to go on Google Maps to find distance/time to destination the night before a move. Heck, use Waze and it will even predict traffic for you. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt to Kory and Fresh Start Movers after a pleasant beginning with them, but everything went downhill come moving day. Unfortunately, I must say to steer clear of this company (?) -- unprofessional, late, and no willingness to make things right.
