It's a bit of a drive but it's well worth it. My friends got married here; their wedding theme was Hawaiian/Aloha Wear (it set the tone for a fun night).
The grounds (the golf course) were amazing- lush and green (makes for great pictures). The ceremony was held outside. Flowers were strewn across the path leading to the alter. There were two sides of seating (white folding chairs). The weather was nice- it felt refreshing. (I think it was hotter in the city.)
The reception was held inside in a spacious hall. The round tables had an apple (the groom is from NY) and a pineapple (the bride is from Hawaii) along with Las Vegas chips- clever. The service was buffet- the food was amazing; Hawaiian food is really good. And I will never forget the chef hacking away at the Lechon (roast pig)- hahaha, yeah it's firmly implanted in the mental roldex. I think we had seconds of the food. We were seated with the bride's friends (she was one of my college friends) so the rest of the table was pretty outgoing, which helps. The organization of the event was very good. Everything seemed to have gone smoothly.
It was such a fun wedding- people from Hawaii are just cool people all around (love that laid back vibe). We had a great time here.
