I am spoiled as I have sushi from the west coast as a comparative.
So it's with that I begin this review.
The good. Traditional decor. Cosy restaurant.
Friendly staff. Japanese speaking sushi chefs.
Nice cold Japanese beer. Great gallery of famous sports autographs. You can tell I am grasping.
Miso soup not bad.
Price. Reasonable. I always compare my sushi prices. By miso soup and a California roll. This place $2 and $6. So for TO. Reasonable.
The bad.
Gyoza. Deep fried. Likely frozen. Wrong sauce (they used teriyaki!? )
Rainbow Roll. Well constructed. But. And it's a big one. Fish was not good. I did not finish.
This was a $13 roll it was generous but fish needs to be fresh.
I won't return is the bottom line. Unless I want a Cali roll and cold beer. (Generally safer option.)
