I attended Mona Richie on Tuesday with my mother and maid of honour. We had an appointment booked for 6PM and were looking forward to visiting as we had heard glowing reviews from two brides that had purchased their wedding dresses there.
I was questioned right off the bat by the consultant (the red head many others have mentioned) as to whether or not I was really getting married because I had written our wedding date down incorrectly (I had never written it before and wrote the day and month backwards - 07/06/2016 instead of 06/07/2016).
When picking dresses at first we were offered no help and then when asked what I was looking for the consultant didn't listen at all. She kept suggesting dresses that were way to heavy for a destination wedding, were too low cut for a small chested bride, had way too much lace and bling for a bride that wanted a simple yet elegant dress with no bling or lace.
In the dressing room things got worse. She did not assist by fastening dresses when they were too big, she didn't remove any dresses the room when it got too full and she paid no attention to me as she was helping more than one bride. When my MOH took the dresses I didn't like out of my room she asked another consultant if she would mind placing them somewhere else. The consultant stated that she was too busy with her bride and that my MOH should just hang them anywhere.
After getting dressed and walking to the stairs to exit the consultant didn't offer a good bye or even a look.
I left a note on the sign in sheet that stated I was extremely disappointed with the service and that I would be happy to share my experience with them if they called. The store never contacted me.
Terrible customer service. I ended up walking next door to Tom Jeon and out of no where I found and purchased my dress! The best thing that came from this terrible experience at Mona Richie is that it got me to the plaza and forced me into another store where I found my dream dress.
