| - The Amazing Kidz Pediatric Dentistry office is a beautiful facility and the assistants, staff, and dentist are great with kids. However, after using them for two years, I've decided not to go back. When my daughter was 4, I was told she had 6 cavities and needed a crown, requiring an anesthesiologist. $1000+ later we were committed to brushing twice a day, flossing every night, eliminating juice and fruit snacks. When my son was old enough to get x-rays, I was told he had the same situation. By the time I made the appointment, Dr. Shulz wanted to do another set of x-rays, which I politely refused. Instead, he did the x-ray anyways and reported my son had another two "shadow cavities." I don't think Dr. Shulz is dishonest, but he may be unnecessarily cautious. He is also quite patronizing with me. He wasn't outright rude, but he left me feeling like I was incapable of caring for my children's teeth or understanding the dental process. I've talked to several other mothers who have had similar experiences at his office. Rather than put my youngest through the same ordeal as his older brother and sister and spending more on my children's baby teeth then I will on braces, I've decided to go with a new office. I'm disappointed because I had high hopes for the office.
