  • Ok. So I had fairly high expectations for this restaurant as the chefs are a pretty big deal! My sister has been begging me to come here. The chips and salsa were great. Dare I say, the best part of the meal. I got a blanco margarita and it was so bland. It was very obviously a mix that had a distinct flavor. I asked for my margarita to have jalapeño and it came with 2 slices just floating around...lol. So I had to muddle it with my straw best as possible. As for our meal, we used the free check in and got the green corn tamales. They we're pretty good but very sweet. We also got the plantain empanadas which are great! Highly recommend getting those. For our meal, my sister got the octopus which she said was dry and disappointing. The small dish was half potato which seems odd for an octopus dish. Her friend got the fish tacos which she said were great, just difficult to pick up and eat. I got the guacamole, Brussels sprouts, and homemade tortillas. I was planning on making my own little veggie tacos. Brussels sprouts were supposed to have chorizo (yum) but after they came, I was informed that they do in fact not contain chorizo but they decided to not change the menu. It was very odd. The guacamole was really good! Tortillas were awesome but are small street taco size. I felt that $3 for a side of 3 tacos was a bit silly... to overall, this meal was OK. In all honesty, I wouldn't make the trek back down to try again.
