Entertained family who frequent the upscale House of Louie in West Covina, CA to the ultimate value...Chinese lunch. I used to patronize Dragon Palace in 1979 when I first moved here and half the subsequent decade because 1) it was only one of a few decent places in the vicinity and 2) it was damn good food, and still is in my estimation. What a treat...why haven't I been back more often over the last few years? One big let down at other places has been my former favorite, sweet and sour pork, as chewy, gristly over cooked lumps covered in gooey coating. DP nailed it with tasty chunks of pork wrapped in a crispy tempura type batter...heavenly. This large lunch for only $5.95 has lit a fire under me to remember to use this place a lot more now. The only thing we need now is help from you advertising geniuses to suggest signage to get people to pay heads-up attention and find the delicacies hiding in the back corner!
