When I heard someone finally did something with the good old dollar theater, I knew I had to go check it out. I was happy to hear it remained a theater and was excited to see what it looked like after all of these years. My boyfriend and I came by on Sunday morning to see Captain America. Apparently there were some problems with the ticket pick-up machine at the front, but it didn't impact me at all. I was a little confused about how to pick up the tickets (if you needed to scan the code or your card) but it was a lot easier than I thought (either one works). We picked up the tickets, grabbed some popcorn & headed to theater 4... WOW. First and foremost, it was a HUGE theater. The screen was huge, there were tons of seats... I was blown away. But the BEST part about the entire theater was that ALL of the seats were recliners.. ALL of them! We were in awe as we took our seats and were super comfortable for the entire 2.5 hour long movie. Side note: clean and gorgeous bathrooms and very friendly service at the front desk and concession stand.
Now that this theater has been remodeled, my only hope and wish is that it can remain this way. I hope the management is good, I hope the owners maintain how beautiful this theater is and I REALLY hope that this theater brings in a ton of business and stays open for a LONG time.
Forget paying tons of $$ for the VIP section of Loew's in the waterfront, when you can come here & sit in a reclining comfy chair for no extra cost. ALSO- you can RESERVE SEATS online! Again, for no extra cost. I am pretty excited about this theater & see myself coming back again soon.
