I had two three hour layovers before and after Thanksgiving 2009 at Charlotte DIA...
First impression: GREAT LAYOUT. Every concourse flows into the food court. No matter where you come in or go out, you're central to practically everything.
Second impression: Free wireless internet provided by Google. Thank you, Google!
Also, notable points are the awesome rocking chairs located right next to a ton of power outlets. Also, the frozen yogurt stores (yep there's several of them) give you a ton of ice cream and only charge the regular 3 or 4 dollars.
I really wanted to have lunch at Tequileria but I was alone and felt awkward going in there by myself. But it looked so great and not super crowded even though it was the Thanksgiving travel days.
Everyone was sooo nice. Even other travelers.
I have been through Atlanta's Hartsfield a ton of times but if I had my druthers I would go through Charlotte from now on. Unfortunately it's all about location location location...
