I haven't entered Macs in years so I am sorry if I am boring you with this review but I just got to say wow! This is just off the train station downtown and kitty corner to Moxie's Grill.
When I entered I was just expecting a normal convenience store and I actually felt I had entered the wrong store because...holy renovations!
There are these huge wall size photos of produce hanging from the somewhat appealing sage green walls. And neon lights featuring the frozen food and beverage area. Everything looks so sleek and modern.
Then in a far corner is this slushy console area, featuring a nice selection of slushies but kind of like in a space capsule idea, with the flavours for you to see swirling around in their own little portholes. The Chrome upper wall with the brightly painted industrial pipes and valves was just such an odd thing to expect in Macs.
Then there is this upper floor which I guess is the Subway which is a nice perk.
There is also a very pleasing presentation of fresh fruit and vegetables here. I was just kind of blown away by all the moderness. Unlike Katie and Sapna, I got great service and I even hung around and perused magazines because it was such a nice place to be in.
