I could not get any help in this place until they apparently decided I look like a shoplifter. When I need to get hardware for something, oftentimes I will bring in a screw or bolt or whatever in the size I need. That way I can compare it to what they have and make sure I get the right thing. I think this is a fairly common practice. So I'm rummaging around my purse looking for the bolt I need and was followed around the store for the remainder of my visit. I had to grab something in the garden center and their undercover security was so obvious I turned around and said, "you seem to be following me around the store, is there something I can help you with?". He told me the garden center was closed and I couldn't check out there. I told him I was not ready to check out yet and I was unaware that the garden center closed two hours earlier than the rest of the store. He said they didn't he just uh... Wanted to see if I needed any help. Really? Where were you when I needed help in the paint department 20 minutes ago? Oh yeah I hadn't been rifling around in my purse pulling out bolts you think I'm trying to swipe. I just shook my head and said, "Nope! I'm fine!". Unless you're a fan of extremely bad service and overly enthusiastic loss prevention cops, I suggest steer clear of Home Depot.
