  • I've had enough! I frequented Ocean Nails for about 6 months, as it is the salon closest to my home and has convenient hours. I've made allowances for the inconsistent service levels and lack of personal attention as well. But yesterday's visit will be my last. I came in to get a shellac manicure and they couldn't locate any of the colors. When we got to the 6th color, I went ahead and just had a regular manicure instead. I also had a regular pedicure, which was not of good quality whatsoever (no pumice scrub). This is a big difference from their "callus remover" pedicure, which uses plenty of chemicals and an over-aggressive approach--my feet have bled a couple of times, and of course the chemicals burn any open wounds . . ouch! The real problem was the woman who did my nails. Simply put, she was rude. Treated me like a dog. Yelled at her kids on her cell phone during my manicure. I just wanted to get the hell out of there. From now on, I'm ready to drive a little further (and perhaps pay a little more), to be treated with a little dignity.
