  • We drove in to take a chance on getting an early check-in as requested. I know it's never guaranteed. But I knew that I could at least get my bags out of the hot car. She told us that she would set a room aside for us. Maybe around noon we could check in. We went to our 2 meetings and got back 4 hours later; just before 2:00pm. She gave me the 2nd floor. I asked if she had anything on a higher floor (my file states that I prefer rooms on higher floors away from the elevator) she said that the room was already set up and ready "Because I had requested extra towels"!!!! I stood there with my mouth opened. I told her that I would be happy to move the towels. Then she offered me the 3rd floor!! That was a slap in my face!! I took the second floor key and went up to my room to find that my view was a wall and roof pitch and lots of bird crap cooking in the 114 heat!!! Oh, and the room was near the elevator. The living room got cool. But the bedroom didn't. I loved new furniture, the refurbished carpet and the wall fixings it was lovely. The refrigerator froze my fresh fruit that thawed into mush. Waste of good food and money!!! The kitchen staff was cranky to everyone. I can't blame them...... most of the customers were rude, clueless, and lacked proper etiquette. They reminded me of the Seinfeld TV episode .... I was repeating my order in my head so I'd be ready when he pointed his spatula at me "saying what do you want!!?" (Mercy) The area for the breads and beverages was loaded with too many people, so I ate and went back to get my coffee....... and wouldn't you know it.....boom!!!! Some 6'-4 300lb slams into my 5"3 frame with my hot coffee out of the coffee lid over my hand, pants and open toes and sandals. Not only are there far and few tv channels; the tv constantly scrambled and or said "no signal" I recorded it for proof! I took something to try to make me sleep so I can bear the heat in the bedroom. We went to bed at 11 PM by 1 AM my husband said pack your bags I can't stand this heat anymore and the televisions are still not working let's get out of here! Beautifully refurbished room. Crappy view, two TVs that did not work. A/C only worked in half of the suite and a Front Desk person that totally lacked customer service and status protocol; or just didn't care at all. By 2am, we were on the road headed to Calif. We called another Embassy Suites that checked us in at 5:22am! And treated is Gold Members like Diamond Members. We have to be back in Vegas Monday; I choose to drive 3 hours back to California to stay where I'm welcomed.
