| - I'm so lucky that I found this place. - I found it a few blocks from me. I rarely post positive comments about pet care places because I'm super demanding and picky when it comes to the well-being of my Oscar, but I am making an e caption for Puppy Love because of the good experience my Oscar and me have had 4 times at Puppy Love.
My neighbor recommended this grooming place to me. I have to say at the time I was suuupeeer skeptical because of my bad experiences with dog grooming and dog boarding places. Did I mention that I'm super picky and protective of my Oscar. So because I am very. The reason for my fears started after my last groomer knicked my little Oscar twice in a row. Anybody who loves their little baby like I love my Oscar would be worried. So, yeah, I was very nervous to try another place, but Oscar's was looking rough and unclean. His breath smelled and I noticed little tuffs of hair puffing up into rough patches of matted hair. I was reading mats are painful for our furry babies. Being a man who knows my limitations, I knew I couldn't do the job. So, I decided to try one more groomer for my little Oscar's sake. My neighbor's dogs always look clean, always have a nice hair cut, and more important they look very happy. So I asked him for a recommendation.
That's when he told me about this grooming place a few blocks away that he said always did a good job for him for the past 11 years. It wasn't too far and has been around for 20 years at least as far as he remembers.
That sounded like a promising recommendation, so I decided to give this place an honest try. I got done courage and called up to make an appointment. I spoke with the groomer. So, I explained the situation that my Oscar had been traumatized and hurt before so I needed a place that would be gentle and careful with Oscar because Oscar tends to be hyper when he's getting groomed. They said they needed to soothe him & be slow while working on him so he didn't get a bad cut again. Then there was the added issue with Oscar's bunched up knots so they said they've have to take a lot of extra time to make Oscar feel comfortable so to avoid cutting him. I spoke with the groomer about all this on the phone . We reached what I feel is a very reasonable price for service I needed and to use hypoallergenic quality product I wanted her to use on my Oscar. Nothing but the best for my Oscar, I told her. She was pleased that my Oscar was so loved which he is, I assured her.
All that said, at the moment of leaving my Oscar at another grooming place, even ONE this highly recommended by my friend, I was super nervous, but I did it because Oscar really needed a shave and needed to have his teeth cleaned badly. I was pleasantly surprised upon picking up Oscar. He looked fabulous, he was happy, his tail wagging between his legs. He walked out proudly and happily looking do good. He also smelled clean and smelled so good. I was very pleased with the results. I return every 5 weeks and Oscar has been well groomed each time and looks great. I've since had Oscar boarded at Puppy Love and every time very happy with their treatment and care of my Oscar. I will not trust any other pet facility with my Oscar besides Puppy Love. I just picked up my baby for the 8th time & again very happy with results. Can't wait to bring Oscar in next month.
