About a week ago I go into this dealership inquiring about a used car advertised with no pics/price. I also bring in the vehicle I was interested in trading in. I always expect to be low balled by dealerships so the trade in valuation was consistent with that expectation. Dimitri was the manager working with me that day. The price they gave me for their vehicle was an "estimate" because it hadn't gone through service/inspection/detailing yet. I said call me when you iron out the details but the trade in valuation needed to come up for me to work a deal. 3 days later I still don't hear back from them so I decided to call back in and see if they have a price on the vehicle they had listed to which the sales guy asks me the same questions as all "what is your budget? what are you looking to get for your trade?" and my personal favorite phrase this dealership seems to use "let me go to work for you" which apparently means let me sit on my ass and not return your call with any valuable information. It almost seems like they don't want to sell the car. Fast forward two days I have received no calls back and still have no idea what the price of the car I was interested in is.
On a side note I find it very interesting scrolling through other posts that the GM has only responded to one complaint when he found the time to respond to all the positive ratings. This only confirms my experience if you ask me. Again, this rating is irrelevant of the low ball trade in offer...it's a rating on what I see as a trend in local dealerships that only want to deal with cash buyers and no negotiating. These are easy sales that require no work on their part, perhaps they should bring back commission paid salesmen and they might work a little harder for their paycheck.
