  • I came here with my family for the first time about a week ago. My Dad was visiting in town and we had this on our list of places to see. We are locals, but only for about 3 years. We drove the scenic drive and then decided spur of the moment to go on a few of the trails. Absolutely gorgeous! Must see for locals and tourists! Some things to note, bring lots of water, especially if its summer time! Also, don't forget your sunscreen! Since we weren't planning on going any trails we didn't think of sunscreen and I ended up with a sunburn, ouch! Careful driving the actual scenic route, I noticed a lot of people were flying around us (keep in mind your in the mountains and if you go off the road, you go off a mountain...) so please look out for fellow walkers, drivers and bicyclists, especially around curves. It's only $7 a car, unless you are military (then its free year round).
