Shiz... I'm just going to say it- Footwork is the best House-electronic uptempo Club.
Toronto started getting REALLY good at building an electronic music scene in Toronto that WASN't Footwork, Comfort Zone or the GuV (the EDM triad).
But even though promoters are getting better at bringing in Electro/techno DJs, I have to say that NOT ALL of them are EDM (Electronic DANCE Music).
Promoters and curators range from Mansion, Box of Kittens, Platform, etc- but when they do shows/parties in the warehouses they rent (i.e. the Great Hall, the underground spot on Spadina, the place on Dundas West, etc) it ranges from Dub to trance to lowtempo etc. And that is not necessarily like, optimal for House Dance which is typically uptempo beats.
Footwork ALWAYS has uptempo artists and Saturdays are usually their International DJ which has maintained a good run since it has existed.
The Hoxton and Uniun may be good for electro/techno but Footwork continues to be the only place that will consistently have DANCE music.
