| - So, I am not sure that there is an ideal airport, but Cleveland ain't too shabby. It's kept pretty clean, it's not too big that it's impossible to get to any of the gates (especially now that the D gates have closed), and the restaurant selection is acceptable.
There is a Starbucks at Gates A and C, so it's a safe bet that I will get my caffeine one way or another. There may be one in B but I never fly out of there so I would not know! They just opened a Fresh Brewed Tees on the way to C, which is an awesome idea. There is also a gelato place in C somewhere that I have always wanted to try.
I have never had issues with any airport or airline employees - everyone is pretty well-tempered there, especially when you compare to the disgruntled employees of New Jersey or Houston!
I will say that the flight selection is not ideal in most cases, but that is not the fault of the airport.
I would recommend parking at one of the offsite parking lots, like Park N Fly or Park Place. Parking is cheaper here vs the onsite parking, you don't have to walk as far (a shuttle bus picks you up and drops you off), you get a newspaper when you enter and a bottle of water and, if you so choose, a car wash when you leave.
