  • If I could give a minus star I would. This hotel is scamming people. I live in Toronto and my parents are coming over from Ireland to visit me. They stayed in this hotel last year when they were over and had no problems but this time is a complete joke. The hotel tried to pre authorize full payment on there debit card ( they don't have a credit card) now 3 months before they arrive, they couldn't take the money because it's a debit so they sent a really rude and threatening email saying that they had 24hrs to pay with a credit card or else they loose the room. Now I don't know what brainless idiot sent that email as no one can get a credit card in 24hrs. I called the hotel last night and said I would come and pay them on my credit card this Sunday and the lady said it was 1200 and she authorized it for Sunday. All was fine and well until my parents get a call this morning telling them they have 24hrs from this minute to pay or else the room is gone. My Father told them I had called and it was ok'd for Sunday. They procceed to tell him that the money is due tomorrow and because of the trouble they have to pay an extra 350$. My parents are now at home cashing in all the money they had to come over here that they spent the last year saving to send money over to me to pay. What goes around comes around I'm organising conventions in Toronto upwards of 600 people an event and I was about to approach the Chelsea for rooms and to hold the events but after this no way. Not only are they scamming people they are so disrespectful for returning customers. PLEASE stay away from this hotel.
