  • The best thing about this hotel is the beds. They are amazing - I think the Wynn has their own brand of mattress and they have perfected it. So why not a 5? or the 2 I was planning on giving the hotel after my stay? I booked the hotel through Travelocity - it was a very nice room at $1,300 a night and it was to include WiFi and Breakfast. Upon check in I was told that I could have a $30 voucher towards in-room dining breakfast. Having stayed at the Wynn many times, and in Las Vegas at comparable hotels about 100 times over the years, and not being born yesterday, I know for a fact that a pot of coffee in in-room dining is close to $10, oatmeal runs at about $30. Toast and eggs are at least $25 for one person. Plus gratuity, delivery fee, tax, etc. So I told them that breakfast was included for two in the booking not discounted. Jee, who was checking me in, argued that I could order breakfast up to $30 for two people, and spoke to me like I was a gullible fool. So I asked for the manager. After speaking to the manager Jo, they did me a massive favor and gave me a $60 discount towards my "included" breakfast. Breakfast consisted of oatmeal, toast, a croissant and coffee and came to over $100 each of the 3 days of our stay. I was also told my "free" WiFi that was also part of our booking rate would be charged if we logged in on more than 2 devices. It's 2016. Some of us EACH have a phone and a laptop or iPad that need WiFi, so 2 devices per room is a joke. One evening I was about to enter the Tower from the casino, and my daughter distracted me with a quick question. We were close to the entrance but not blocking the entrance. After 30 seconds, a security guard literally shooed me away telling me I can't stand so close to the Tower entrance. The air quality was not good. The room smells of smoke that comes through the vents. I completed a survey at the end of my stay and the reason my review is a 3 and not a 2 is because I was contacted immediately and they refunded the money they had charged for the breakfast after I explained that, at ~$1,300 a night, it is not the $30 that I cared about. It is the principal - that an establishment like the Wynn/ Encore would try and nickle and dime me like that - as if they are desperate for the extra $30, that they included as part of the package and then wanted to go back on their agreement. In my opinion, I should not have been placed in a position to have to fight for what was agreed upon in the reservation in the first place.
