My fiancé put a ring on it. Yes, he sealed the deal with an absolutely stunning brilliant cut solitaire diamond ring (that we picked out together). I couldn't be happier with the ring or our experience. We searched high and low for the perfect ring and we're so happy we found this gem (pun intended) on Yelp!
After browsing hundreds of rings online and visiting a few big chain stores, my fiancé suggested we make an appointment here. It's a locally owned business located within Tivoli Village. I read their reviews and decided to take the plunge and make an appointment for us that afternoon (on Black Friday).
We arrived early for our appointment and were cheerfully greeted by our diamond consultant, Dave (the 'D' in D&R house of diamonds). Dave greeted us by name and offered us refreshments upon arrival. We didn't know much of anything about diamonds (outside of the 4Cs), but Dave took the time to really show us the ropes. During our personal consultation, he took his time and explained the finer points of diamonds in detail, weighed pros and cons of metals, and discussed our budget and the type of diamonds and settings we were interested in.
After carefully listening to us, he brought out loose diamonds of differing grades for us to compare. We were able to look at the diamonds under magnification to show us what each inclusion looked like during our selection process. I loved being able to pick out a loose diamond for my setting vs. having to pick one from a display case. After we decided on a diamond (the value they offer is simply incredible), we browsed over their wide selection of settings and opted for a classic and simple 4 prong setting.
Dave set my diamond in the setting we picked out and (THUD) my jaw hit the floor as soon as I slipped it over my finger. My fiancé and I looked at each other and knew that we had found our ring. My eyes filled up with tears and I didn't want to take it off. I had tried on a dozen rings before and nothing compared to this. That moment was magical! It literally took my breath away.
My fiancé purchased my ring right then and there. Dave promised to have my custom ring ready within a week. What seemed like the longest four days EVER, we finally got the call that my ring was ready! Yippee!! We rushed to the shop to pick it up and slipped it on my finger. Talk about PERFECTION! I walked out staring at the most sparkly diamond ever! I couldn't be happier!
