  • Here's my experience. We just bought a new house and asked a pool guy to come out and quote us on pool service. When he got here he took one look at the equipment and said, "I don't even want to touch that equipment until you get your heater cleaned. It's a hazard." That pool guy gave us the name of BB&G Electric. When I spoke with Mary on the phone, she asked me about the equipment. I told her the brand and she was quite knowledgeable about the brand and the age of the equipment and said it was good equipment and scheduled John to come and take a look at what the heater needed. She said John was a little older than the other technicians and would have more experience with that age of equipment. John showed up during the window promised and was very knowledgeable and forthcoming about the equipment. He showed me a couple of places where it wasn't quite up to snuff, but suggested that I didn't have enough of a problem to warrant new plumbing or new equipment or even any repairs. He cleaned out the heater (which apparently had been collecting dirt since 1996 when it was installed) very nicely and also took the time to show me how to operate all the equipment, how often to run the pump, how the infloor cleaning system works, where the pool lights were, all that stuff. He was really helpful and clearly had expertise. At the end, he charged me for a simple service call, $95, more than fair!!! All in all, I was quite pleased with the work and would recommend anytime! -MC
