  • I bought a used bike off craigslist and brought it to them for a tuneup and tire change. (total cost: $220) I was helped promptly and courteously, plus they were able to diagnose the immediate problems - being the shifter and the brake pads. The issues were clearly discussed with me and the costs clearly itemized. The bike was ready as scheduled. It's only after bringing it home that I realized that the rear deraileur was still covered in a year's worth of grime and grease. It appears like their tuneup merely consisted of a light spray of degreaser - at least the handlebar was shiny. Should have checked yelp ahead of hand but now I've learnt my lesson. Sorry, cannot recommend Bikes on Wheels.
