| - I like this place well enough, however, it's no substitute for POPSODA, that closed five years ago. Rocket Fizz is either a franchise or privately owned with two locations I aware of. They are marking up their merchandise by 300-400% NOT COOL!!! You can make a profit without ripping people off! They have very few hard to find soft drinks and VERY FEW imported soft drinks (Not Impressed). I'm such a fan of craft and unique soft drinks that I almost bought and saved POPSODA. Many people realize (if they travel or have been to the Coke Headquarters) that soft-drinks taste different depending on the part of the world you're visiting. Coke and Pepsi have alternative products for different countries, some of which are amazing, but Rocket Fizz doesn't try to tap into this market. I've seen more than 50 flavors of Pepsi in Japan and more than 200-300 flavors of KitKat's (Since Rocket Fizz also sells overpriced candy.) How about a wasabi KitKat or Pepsi Blue? There's no place in the Phoenix metropolitan area anymore, that has a crazy amazing selection of sodas and candy, Rocket Fizz is as good as it gets and it gets really expensive!!! So if you're looking for a few overpriced slightly unusual sodas or semi difficult hard to find candy, Rocket Fizz can fill that need for an extremely high price. One example just for the sake of comparing. A Big Hunk candy bar that's essentially white nougat with peanuts in a black wrapper goes for $2.99 at Rocket Fizz, 99cents at Winco and 79 cents at the dollar store! This is a typical markup example at Rocket Fizz. I've been extremely kind and explained to the employees and I believe the owner that I would do more business with them if they could simply be reasonable. You would think a business would catch on to price points and how they can dramatically help or harm your business, depending on how you're pricing your retail items. This place is a solid 3 out of 10 on my awesomeness scale for this type of establishment, there's MASSIVE room for improvement, I hope the owner(s) will read this review and take the constructive criticism to heart. You can only price gouge for so long and then people stop coming or by less.
