rev:text	As a Las Vegas local, I try to avoid the strip restaurants as much as possible. They're usually over priced, and over crowded, but when I found myself at the Venetian with my wife and daughter, we swung into Buddy V's on a whim for lunch. My wife and I are typically appalled by kids menus because everything tends to be fried, or bathed in cheese; Buddy V's was no exception. With that said, I ordered the kids chicken parm, however I requested the dish be with a grilled chicken breast, and no cheese. Our waitress gladly made the change, and my daughter loved the food. $12.00 for a kids meal is a little pricy, but it is the strip after all, and the food was a big hit with my daughter. I don't mind paying for quality. The lunch menu is a little small, and I was wishing I'd looked at it before getting a table, I figured I'd just grab something with little expectation. Big mistake! I ordered the adult chicken parm, and my wife had the chicken blt. The pasta with the chicken parm was slightly al dente, and perfectly cooked. The chicken breading was crunchy with juicy chicken inside. My wife was a big fan of the thin piece of chicken that came on her sandwich, and the perfectly toasted bread. The basil was fresh and tomato not mushy, another big hit. I would have given a higher rating of not for the poor service. Our waitress, Bethany, disappeared from our table for 20+ minutes. She took our order, and didn't come back until it we'd been finished eating for quite some time. All in all, we'd come back for the food but the service needs some work. Out total bill was $57.62.
