| - I don't do much mall shopping now, but when I do it's usually at Arrowhead. Despite the decline of many older malls, this place manages to retain good stores and pull in new stores, even as it loses others. Not ultra high-end, but they have some good anchor and brand stores. (Macys, Apple, Lego, Victoria's Secret, AMC theaters, etc.) It's all indoors, which I prefer to the new outdoor plazas popping up everywhere...I mean we are in a desert after all. They're also constantly renovating, which I appreciate. I think we've all seen old malls and how sad they look when they fail to renovate with the times. Not the case here. Food court is good too.
They have a weekly free kids club for very young children (toddler to preschool age). I used to bring my kids for the program which included music, storytelling, and activities for about an hour. Nice to see they still offer it.
One big negative and a reason I hate going is the soliciting. It's a nuisance when salespeople in the halls try to stop you and offer you samples or talk to you about whatever they're selling. There's also an actual market research company on the 2nd floor that often has employees with clipboards standing in the hall trying to get shoppers to do surveys. No thanks.
Overall, still a decent mall for now. 3 Stars.
